ONE DAY SATI COURSE- SPACE & FLOW METHOD WITH RAPHAN KEBE
RAPHAN KEBE – SPACE & FLOW
11TH DECEMBER 2021 | 9:00 - 17:00 | LOCATION: MULA YOGA STUDIO
£80
The SATI COURSE is open to teachers and non-teachers alike, there’s no need to be an “advanced practitioner” however the ability to appreciate a “question & process” orientated type of practice, as opposed to “results and formula driven”, is a must.
Space & Flow is a movement-based Yoga practice promoting a healthy spine and joints, muscular strength and body-mind awareness. This method has been born out of Raphan’s wish for a collective yet truly individual artistic expression of Vinyasa Yoga,
The physical practice is based on spinal and joint integrity, muscular strength and the understanding of the role of the nervous system in growth, physical potential and ultimately health.
Greatly inspired by schools of somatic education such as Feldenkrais, the Space & Flow method combines a multi-faceted approach that draws from various fields of practice like martial arts and dance, and from the world of strength & conditioning and that of body therapy. The growth and ongoing development of S&F is marked by a diversity of sources and this mobility is another important aspect of its essence. Space & Flow benefits from a close relationship to Sufism, and to Tantra and Zen Buddhism.
SATI will help you deepen your Flow practice, but also give you ideas and tools as to how you can start to create and/or develop further your own movement and Vinyasa vocabulary.

Yoga Mythology One Day Teacher Training
YOGA & MYTHOLOGY WORKSHOP
14TH NOVEMBER 2021 | 09:30 - 15:30 | LOCATION: MULA YOGA STUDIO
STORIES OF YOGA
~The Mythology behind the postures~
In these sessions, we will interweave asana practice with mythic narrative and yogic teachings to create a rich experience of alignment. We will explore these teachings in both their historical context, as well as how we, as modern yogis, may derive meaning from these ancient wisdom traditions. Each session will be asana based AND will explore tales from Mahabharata, Gita and other sources. Each workshop explores philosophical teachings and/or a mythic narrative of yoga, and we write ourselves into the stories through practices of asana, pranayama and meditation.
Bring an open mind, a courageous heart, and a readiness to play and work hard, with a desire to bring the great teachings of yoga directly into your life.
Suited for Yoga Teachers, as we will be building in how to use this content in your teaching.
Emily can certify hours as continuing education with Yoga Alliance.

What Yoga can do for your BRAIN
IN-PERSON DATE TO BE CONFIRMED
Among the most common misconceptions about yoga is that it’s just another form of exercise. Perhaps this is because people often see yogis stretching and doing pretzel-like poses. However, the reality is that the benefits of yoga are more encompassing than just the physical. And, thanks to modern technology, increasing peer-reviewed yoga research and functional MRI scans, we’re now able to see how regular practice affects your brain.
In this workshop Emily explains the neuroscience of the effect mindful movement, breathing and meditation can actually increase grey matter and neuroplasticity. In real-life terms, a tool to prevent or slow cognitive decline, boost mental health and help you lead a happier. healthier life.
